What happened to W Green Pay (WGP)?
This page is not affiliated with W Green Pay, the W-Foundation, or the HOOXI campaign. The domain wpay.sg previously belonged to that project, but it lapsed and was registered by an unrelated owner. No token sale, campaign, or project is running here. If you are looking for information about W Green Pay or WGP tokens, you are in the right place to read a factual history - but not to participate in anything.
The project as it described itself
The earliest preserved capture of wpay.sg, dated 16 May 2018, showed a site calling itself "the most innovative social carbon credit platform to be launched." It promoted a campaign called "W Green Pay HOOXI Campaign" and invited visitors to "sign up now for early W Green Pay token sale privileges." The contact email was [email protected].
At that point, the project presented itself as a platform that would reward individuals for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, using a token called WGP. The framing was environmental: carbon credits, personal action, and blockchain-based rewards.
Announcements and press coverage
By 13 September 2018, the project's blog listed several partnerships and investments. It announced partnerships with ICON (a blockchain network), with Zeex (described as intended to "enhance the usability of WGP tokens"), with DaeHyun Accounting Corporation as a strategic investor, and with YG Investment. A press release was also posted, headlined "Stellar to Power W-Foundation's HOOXI Campaign W Green Pay (WGP) Tokens." This indicated a technical relationship with the Stellar blockchain.
Media coverage captured on 23 July 2018 included articles on Cointelegraph, Yahoo Finance, NullTX, Bitcoin Exchange Guide, and others. The press headlines described HOOXI as "Korea's largest government-backed campaign" and WGP as "the first blockchain enabled reward system for GHG reduction by individuals." These were claims made by the project or by journalists covering it - not independently verified facts.
The last preserved state of the site
The final usable capture of wpay.sg in the Internet Archive is dated 29 August 2022. By then, the site had been rebranded as "HOOXI Planet," described as a "Metaverse for Social Good." Users were told they could earn "HOOXI Energy" by completing environmental missions and then exchange that energy for WGP tokens.
The token sale page showed three phases: private sale tier 1, private sale tier 2, and a public sale. All three were marked "SOLD OUT." A figure of 200,000,000 WGP appeared next to the sale. An article on the site was titled "W-Foundation Announces W Green Pay Token Supply Reduction." The CEO was named as Dr. Youree Lee.
No further captures show a working site after that date. The domain wpay.sg was registered again on 19 September 2026 by an unrelated owner - this site.
What can a token holder do?
This article does not and cannot give advice about any tokens you may hold. If you are a WGP token holder, you can check the token's current status for yourself by looking up its contract address on a blockchain explorer for the network it was issued on (likely Stellar, based on the project's announcements). No entity running this site has any information about whether the token is tradeable, active, or defunct.
Summary
- The project began in 2018 as a carbon-credit reward platform called W Green Pay, running a HOOXI campaign.
- It announced partnerships with ICON, Zeex, DaeHyun Accounting Corporation, YG Investment, and Stellar.
- Press coverage at the time described it as government-backed in Korea.
- By 2022, the site had become "HOOXI Planet," a metaverse concept, with all token sale phases marked sold out.
- The site then went offline; the domain was later registered by a new owner.
There is no evidence that the project continued after August 2022. The domain you are reading now is not part of it.
